The 5th Street Project is the community policing/prosecuting initiative for the downtown Austin East 5th Street corridor. Key collaborators are the residents of the East 5th Street area, APD’s Downtown Area Command (DTAC), the Assistant District Attorney for the Downtown Community and krimelabb.
- Crime View provides a summary of all police incidents in the 5th Street Watch area. You can easily sort information by date or type of offense. The chart tab provides a Pareto of offenses.
- Arrestees View provides the name of the individuals arrested by APD in the 5th Street Watch area and the offense.
Hint: The arrestee name is clickable and will take you to a summary of the offenders arrest history (since 2007) with APD. Mugshots are available for some offenders.
- The Criminal Justice section provides information about the prosecution and sentencing of offenders in the 5th Street Watch area. In addition to summary statistics, individual case details and the offender’s Travis County felony history is available. Probable Cause Affidavits are viewable for most of the 2010 cases and many of the 2009 cases. Case data and statistics are sortable by individual judge, prosecutor, or police officer.
